Wow was there ever some hidden damage on this home - This area was ready to collapse.
Do you recognize the defect in these photos - we hope so because they can be very expensive to repair or present fire, safety and/or health hazards.
1. Structural damage from wood destroying organisms. Extensive structural repair and replacement is needed.

3. Swelling & delaminating of wood composite siding as a result of excessive moisture. The siding on the entire house needs to be replaced.
4. Wood decay fungus (rot) was taking over the sub-structure as a result of insufficient ventilation and excessive moisture conditions. Extensive structural repair and replacement was needed.
5. A safety feature required on residential water heaters (Temperature Pressure Relief valve) is in danger of being rendered inoperative due to improper installation of the discharge tube connected to the valve. Under certain conditions, this could allow the water heater to literally EXPLODE. This is a SAFETY ISSUE.
6. Evidence of wood destroying insects that are capable of literally destroying the structure. This wood was structurally unsound. Extensive structural repair & replacement was needed.
